Reproductive losses in Ukraine: current situation

During the transformation of society, accompanied not only by socio-economic decline, but also unfavorable indicators population reproduction, issue reducing reproductive losses and maintaining viability offspring at all stages ontogenesis. Purpose - to investigate condition dynamics main components in Ukraine. Materials methods. A comprehensive retrospective analysis assessment their Ukraine for period 2000-2021 according State Statistics Service Institution «Center Medical Ministry Health Ukraine». Methods system approach, bibliographic, structural-logical, epidemiological statistical data processing, graphic image are applied. Results. continuous study loss level showed a positive trend number total 86.1 per 1,000 live births 2000 57.0‰ 2021, OR with 95% CI 0.63 (0.62-0.65), p<0.0001, violation gradual decline this indicator its growth 2005 up 72.1‰, connection preparation perinatal facilities transition WHO criteria period, stillbirths. The downward was characteristic prenatal spontaneous (spontaneous) abortions, medical legal abortions from 12 22 weeks pregnancy, which decreased 68.8 43.2‰ (0.59-0.67), deaths first year life 11.9‰ 7.2‰, respectively, 0.7 (0.66-0.74), p<0.0001. At same time, stillbirth rate tended increase 5.4‰ 6.6‰, 1.23 (0.9-1,3), against background steady share antenatal fetal death 85.3% structure 2001 94.5% 2021. It is established that registered during entire observation gestation amounted 74.1%, 57.9%, 16.2% pregnancies 25.9% feto-infantile losses, 15.7% died 10.2% were stillborn. In XXI century, pregnancy 3 times those who 7.3%. proportion stillborn 87.1% 29.6%. Conclusions. situation state makes it appropriate further develop family planning service, formation social program correct behavior improve women’s health. No conflict interests declared authors.
